Former women’s basketball point guard Sierra Calhoun decided to transfer from Duke early in January during the regular season, Ohio State women’s basketball coach Kevin McGuff has recently announced that she will be joining the Buckeyes. Due to NCAA transfer rules, she will have to sit out for the upcoming season and will be able to join the Buckeyes for the 2016-2017 season with three years of eligibility remaining.
Sierra Calhoun is a 6-0 guard from Brooklyn, NY who was ranked as one of the top players in the 2014 recruiting class. In her freshman season with the Blue Devils, Calhoun started in all 13 games she played in averaging 10.
