DURHAM, N.C. – Returning to Cameron Indoor Stadium Thursday evening, the Duke women’s basketball team showcased an all-around great effort registering a 66-52 victory over Wake Forest.
The Blue Devils (9-9, 1-5 ACC) were paced by junior Leaonna Odom’s 20 points, while sophomore Jayda Adams added a career-high 12 points.
Making her first collegiate start, Adams made her presence felt early as she drained a three-pointer to open action about a minute into the contest. A product of Irvine, Calif., Adams matched her career high with her second trey in the quarter as the Blue Devils held a 13-9 advantage after 10 minutes.
