DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women’s tennis team opened the Kitty Harrison Invitational with a perfect 5-0 record Friday at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
The Blue Devils kicked off competition with senior Kaitlyn McCarthy and junior Meible Chi in doubles action taking down William & Mary’s Rosie Cheng and Natalia Perry, 8-5, before McCarthy teamed up with sophomore Kelly Chen to secure an 8-2 victory over East Carolina’s Lisa Hofbauer and Alisa Diercksen.
The Blue Devils continued strong play into singles against Penn State.
