Former Duke football stars have won Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In what was one of the most anticipated Super Bowls in recent memory, it did not live up to the hype as two former Duke football stars won its first championship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ross Cockrell, a cornerback on Tampa Bay, and Thad Lewis, an offensive assistant coach, watched the Buccaneers take down the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-9, on Sunday night. Cockrell did not get a defensive snap in the victory but did see a handful of plays on special teams as that was his primary role on the Super Bowl Champions in the postseason.
