The Duke Football program won’t be getting a new head coach anytime soon as the school and David Cutcliffe have agreed to a contract extension that will keep the coach in Durham through the 2022 season, the team announced on Friday afternoon.
As it stands now, Cutcliffe’s new contract is set to expire on June 30, 2023.
Prior to arriving at Duke, Cutcliffe was the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Tennessee, followed by becoming the head coach at Ole Miss.
David Cutcliffe has been the head coach of the Duke Football team since 2008 and after five straight losing seasons to start his tenure, the Blue Devils have had a winning record in every season since 2013 except 2016 when the team went 4-8.
