Duke Football Coach David Cutcliffe Excited To Play In Renovated Wallace Wade Stadium

Construction on the new Wallace Wade Stadium started in November. Now, nearly nine months later, the old horshoe is ready for action.

On Saturday, Duke opens home play in the newly renovated Wallace Wade Stadium. Most of the details you know: the track is gone, the field has been lowered, new buildings are on the way. There's a huge new scoreboard.

It's the physical manifestation of the turnaround in Duke football and as the architect of that turnaround, coach David Cutcliffe is understandably excited.

He and Wallace Wade, who put Duke on the map athletically, probably would have had a lot in common, aside from their roots in Alabama football.
