CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Blue Devils kept pace with No. 3 seed North Carolina in a high-scoring first half but saw their run in the 2016 NCAA Tournament come to an end Sunday with a 15-10 loss to the Tar Heels at Fetzer Field. Duke closed the season with a final record of 11-9.
The Blue Devils featured a pair of four-goal performances by senior Kelci Smesko and sophomore Grace Fallon, but were outscored 6-2 in the second half of the third meeting between the two squads this season.
