DURHAM – Notre Dame scored a pair of first-half goals to defeat the Blue Devils, 2-0, in ACC men's soccer action Friday evening at Koskinen Stadium. Duke held the Fighting Irish to eight shots for the game, but couldn't find the back of the net over the 90 minutes.
Neither team was able to create many quality scoring opportunities over the course of the game as both teams combined for 14 shots in the game and only five on frame. Notre Dame (7-5-0, 4-3-0) capitalized on their first chance of the night and won a penalty kick to add an insurance goal later in the first half.
