LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Newly ranked Louisville lived up to the billing as the 25th-ranked Cardinals handed Duke a 3-0 (15-25, 16-25, 21-25) setback in ACC play Friday evening in Cardinal Arena.
Louisville (12-4, 5-0 ACC) remained undefeated in conference competition and extended its overall win streak to six consecutive matches. The Cards raced to an early lead and never allowed Duke (7-7, 1-4 ACC) to find its rhythm.
“Louisville is a very physical and aggressive team and they didn’t make a lot of mistakes tonight,” said head coach Jolene Nagel. “After set one, Louisville didn’t have any hitting errors.
