COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Duke outshot Northwestern 17-7 for the game but came up just short in a 3-2 setback to the No. 2 Wildcats in field hockey action at the ACC/B1G Cup hosted by Maryland.
The No. 20 Blue Devils move to 2-1 on the year and 1-1 against ranked opponents. Sophomore Alaina McVeigh and junior Logan Clouser scored for the Blue Devils in the narrow loss.
