DURHAM – The Duke baseball team dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 11 Georgia Tech on Friday at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in downtown Durham to open a three-game ACC series.
Graduate student Peter Matt and senior Chris Crabtree led the way for Duke offensively, each collecting two of Duke's eight hits. Matt had a pair of singles in his first two at-bats and scored. Crabtree, a native of Bahama, N.C., finished with a double and an RBI single.
Junior Cooper Stinson worked around trouble to strike out the side in the first inning but did not return due to muscle tightness.
