CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Duke baseball team fell to 12th-ranked Miami, 5-1, in the rubber match of the series Saturday afternoon at Mark Light Field. With the loss, the Blue Devils conclude the season with an overall record of 30-24, including a 15-15 record in Atlantic Coast Conference play as the Hurricanes claim the series.
Duke fell behind early as Miami jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the very first frame. The Hurricanes went on to cushion their advantage with a pair of runs across the fourth and sixth innings to put the game out reach.
