Duke Falls to #9 Miami on Senior Day

DURHAM, N.C. – No. 9 Miami used 524 yards of total offense to defeat Duke, 48-0, on Saturday night at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

The Blue Devils dip to 2-8 overall and 1-8 in ACC play, while Miami improves to 8-1 and 7-1, respectively.

Duke's nationally ranked opponent jumped out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and never really looked back. Saturday's loss was the first time the Blue Devils were shut out in a contest since Oct. 4, 2008 when they dropped a 27-0 decision at Georgia Tech.

Seventeen of Miami's points were scored off Duke turnovers as the Blue Devils continued to be plagued by giveaways, finishing the game with five.
