Stanford isn’t as dominant a program it once was - UConn, South Carolina, LSU and Iowa have moved past the Cardinal - but that team is still a tough out as Duke found out Sunday after losing to Stanford 82-79 in overtime.
Stanford raced out to a 35-19 lead before the Blue Devils started to push their way back in. The Blue Devils tied the game 53-53 with :47 left in the third and the lead went back and forth in the final period.
Duke went up 69-66 with 1:49 left on a jumper by Oluchi Okananwa but Stanford tied it back up with a three of their own.
