ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Duke women's lacrosse team's second half comeback versus No. 15 Navy came up just short Sunday afternoon as the Blue Devils fell, 16-15, at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Duke's game-tying shot by Katie Cronin as time expired went wide left ending any hope of forcing overtime.
It was a back-and-forth affair in the opening minutes before Navy (2-1) scored three to take a 5-3 lead. Catriona Barry and Caroline DeBellis responded with scores to bring the game level at, 5-5.
