Duke Extends Apparel Licensing Contract With Nike Through 2027

Duke University recently announced that the school athletics department and Nike have agreed to a new licensing agreement for all Blue Devil varsity athletic teams. The newest contract will extend the partnership for the next 12 years until 2027.

Duke has been signed with the brand since 1992, and it’s tough to see the Blue Devils ever switching to wearing anything other than Nike apparel. The deal requires Nike to provide uniforms, footwear, apparel, and equipment for all of Duke’s 27 varsity athletic teams through 2027. President & GM of Nike North America Joaquin Hidalgo had this to say about why they decided to extend the deal with the Blue Devils:

Nike is still the dominant apparel provider for the Atlantic Coast Conference and the NCAA in general, although longtime client University of Miami recently switched to sign a 12-year deal with Adidas after over 25 years with Nike.
