ATLANTA – Six straight points from junior Joey Baker tied the game with under two minutes remaining, but freshman Jaemyn Brakefield's game-winning three-point attempt at the buzzer did not fall and Duke came up short in overtime at Georgia Tech, 81-77.
Freshman center Mark Williams had his first career 20-point game, going a perfect 9-of-9 from the field while recording seven rebounds and three assists for the Blue Devils (11-10, 9-8 ACC), who drop their second consecutive contest in overtime. Williams' scoring output was matched by sophomore Wendell Moore Jr.
