DURHAM – The Duke field hockey team earned the No. 3 overall seed in the 2023 NCAA Field Hockey Championship and will host the first and second rounds as announced Sunday night on the Division I selection show.
The Blue Devils will host Patriot League Champion American University in the opening round Friday, Nov. 10 at 12 p.m. The other first-round game features Liberty (17-2) and Syracuse (10-7) at 2:30 p.m. The winners of the two games meet in the quarterfinal Nov. 12 at 1 p.m., on Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium.
Duke earns its 19th bid to the NCAA Tournament and first since 2019.
