BLACKSBURG, Va. – Duke sophomore guard scored 18 points but came up just short in a tough 61-56 setback at No. 12 Virginia Tech in ACC women's basketball action Thursday night.
Jackson knocked down three trifectas and buried 5-of-6 from the charity stripe, finishing her night with 18 points to lead all Blue Devil scorers against the Hokies. Junior Reigan Richardson and freshman Oluchi Okananwa added 11 points apiece for Duke (16-8, 8-5), which led with just over five minutes to play in the fourth quarter. Virginia Tech improves to 21-4 and 12-2 in ACC play.
