BUIES CREEK, N.C. – In the second game of a home-and-home series against the Camels, Duke dropped a 5-1 road decision to Campbell Wednesday evening at Jim Perry Stadium. Duke (5-4) totaled 14 strikeouts and limited Campbell (4-4) to five hits, but the Camels strung three hits together in the fourth and benefitted from an uncharacteristic five walks issued by the Blue Devils.
“[We] hold a team to five hits, strike them out 14 times, and they have three errors … you anticipate that’s a game that’s probably going to go in your favor,” said head coach Chris Pollard.
