DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke men's tennis team returned to the court after nearly three weeks off from competition to defeat Virginia Tech, 4-2, Friday evening in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
With the victory, the Blue Devils improve to 10-1 overall and secure their first ACC win while the Hokies dip to 5-4 and 0-1 in the conference.
"We played good doubles today," head coach Ramsey Smith said. "In singles, I thought there might have been some 'match rust'. We have been practicing well but it's been almost three weeks since we've competed.
