BALTIMORE, Md. – Duke junior attackman Justin Guterding scored a career-high tying 10 points from four goals and six assists as the unseeded Blue Devils cruised past No. 6 seed Johns Hopkins 19-6 in NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament first round action at Homewood Field. Duke advances to its 15th NCAA quarterfinal.
Guterding's 10 points are the second most by a Blue Devil in NCAA Tournament history and mark the third time this season the Garden City, N.Y., native has recorded double-digit points in a game. He pushes his season total to 94, tied for fifth in Duke single-season history.
