Duke Dominates in 2nd Round NCAA Match-Up vs. USC, Moves On To Quarterfinals

Duke hosted a 2nd round game of the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championships after earning a #3 seed in the tournament and a first round bye. The Blue Devils played Southern California, who won the first round match-up with James Madison, and routed to Trojans winning 17-9.

Duke excelled offensively and defensively throughout the game to advance in the tournament. The Blue Devils had four players record a hat trick with at least 3 goals in a game that they never trailed. Additionally, All-ACC First Team senior attacker Kerrin Maurer who finished with 4 goals and 2 assists was able to break the school record in career assists with 117 for her 4 seasons so far.
