Duke ran its record to 7-1 Saturday night with a 113-49 win over Stetson.
The final score was deceptive. It wasn’t that close.
And no, I’m not trying to be cute. Duke led 93-33, with 8:28 left before Stetson went on a 10-0 run. R.J. Barrett, Cam Reddish and Zion Williams combined for 66 points in 57 combined minutes, making 27-of 38 from the field. Alex O’Connell led Duke with 24 minutes played. Jordan Goldwire played 21 minutes. If 113-49 sounds bad, imagine how bad it could have been if Mike Krzyzewski held a grudge against Stetson.
