NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Duke track & field team kicked off the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge on Thursday with the women's pentathlon at New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory.
The Blue Devils were represented by freshman Elasia Campbell, freshman Lara Kohlenbach, junior Kate Kutzer and sophomore Isabel Wakefield.
The slate of events began with the 60m hurdles, where Campbell and Wakefield finished in second and third place, respectively. Campbell set a personal record with a time of 8.71.
Campbell carried over that performance to the high jump, where she placed first in clearing 1.
