SHREVEPORT, La. - For sixth time in seven seasons, onsite bowl game preparations have begun for Duke.
After the Blue Devils arrived in Shreveport on Saturday afternoon, Duke took to the practice field for the first time Sunday morning at Independence Stadium.
Donning full pads for a traditional Tuesday practice, Duke began the first phase of its final preparations for the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl on December 27 against Temple. A win against the Owls would be the Blue Devils’ eighth victory of the year, giving Duke four seasons with eight or more wins in the last six years, the most successful stretch for the program since four in six from 1938-43.
