LUBBOCK, Texas – One of the best seasons in program history came to an end Monday, as the Duke Blue Devils fell in a 6-2 decision to the Texas Tech Red Raiders in game three of the Lubbock Super Regional.
Monday’s Super Regional setback concludes a historic season. The 2018 Blue Devils set program records for wins in a season both overall and in the ACC while advancing to the first Super Regional in program history. Duke tied the program record with seven Major League Baseball Draft selections, while five Blue Devils earned All-ACC honors.
The Red Raiders used a trio of home runs to score four of their six runs, starting with a solo shot in the bottom of the third.
