CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 17 Duke rowing team earned four first place finishes and placed all five boats in the Grand Finals in the first day of the ACC Championship at Lake Hartwell on the campus of Clemson Friday evening.
The Blue Devils started off the evening in the second heat of the 3V8, where Duke took second behind Syracuse with a time of 6:51.534. Duke earned its first of four first place finishes two heats later, as the 2V4 boat clocked a time of 7:27.856, just over two seconds faster than second place Clemson (7:29.
