Duke Completes Cellular and Wi-Fi Upgrades in Cameron

The Duke University athletics department is in the process of renovating and upgrading numerous facilities on campus, including the historic Cameron Indoor Stadium. The school recently announced that the first part of the improvements to Cameron are done, which includes several tech enhancements to the cellular coverage and wireless internet in the arena.

The Duke University Office of Information Technology (OIT) worked with cell phone providers Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint to increase phone coverage in adding 43 new wireless access points in and around the stadium. Blue Devil fans can go here to check out more information about the phone and wireless internet updates, which should be able to handle the large amounts of people trying to access the same network during games and play a huge role in improving the fan experience overall.
