ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy won the final two bouts to pull away from a 16-16 tie and upend the Duke wrestling team 22-16 in Alumni Hall Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils rallied from a 13-0 deficit, but couldn’t quite complete the comeback.
Duke falls to 2-2 on the season after consecutive setback. The Midshipmen improve to 4-2 overall on the year.
Navy jumped out to a 13-0 lead with victories in the opening three bouts, of which six points came via forfeit. The Blue Devils got on board with a pin from sixth-ranked Mitch Finesilver at 149 pounds.
