DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women’s tennis team concluded the three-day Kitty Harrison Invitational Sunday morning with its third straight day of stellar singles play, as the Blue Devils posted a 5-1 mark against opposition from South Carolina and Penn State to move the team’s overall singles record to 15-2 during the invitational.
Freshman Kaitlyn McCarthy remained unbeaten on the weekend after closing the Kitty Harrison Invitational with an impressive 6-0, 6-2 victory over Hannah Templeton. The victory moved the Cary, N.C., native’s overall record to 10-1 on the season, making her the first Blue Devil to reach double-digit wins in singles action this fall.
