CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Duke fencing team closed out the 2023 ACC Fencing Championship Sunday with the team event. The 12th-ranked women finished second while the ninth-ranked tied for second place in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The women started off the day with a victory over North Carolina (15-12) in the morning before a 24-3 win over Boston College. The Blue Devils then fell to Notre Dame (19-8) to close out the session.
- Co-captain Zsofia Walter (saber) led the entire women's team with a 7-1 record, including two wins over Notre Dame, followed by Chloe Beittel (epee) with six.
