DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's basketball team built a 21-point lead in the first half against previously undefeated Penn and went on to hold on for a 66-50 victory Friday afternoon in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke improved to 6-2 on the season and closed a five-game homestand.
Senior Leaonna Odom turned in a season-high 23 points and pulled down a career-high 16 boards to lead the way for the Blue Devils. It marked her 10th career double-double and first of the season. Graduate Haley Gorecki added her second double-double of the season with 12 points and tied her career high with 10 assists.
