The ACC recently wrapped up the their 2015 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, with the Duke women’s track and field team finishing in 8th and the men’s team finishing in 6th in the conference. The Blue Devils finished with three student-athletes winning ACC gold medals, four earning silver medals, and two winning bronze medals in their respective events.
Many athletes for Duke outperformed their initial seedings in the conference, especially on the men’s team which was projected to finish 14th before the event and were tied for last place after the first day. All-ACC selections are determined by performances in the championships and the Blue Devils had 8 named to the First Team, 8 named to the Second Team based on top 6 finishes in their competitions.
