Duke ran its record to 2-0 Friday night with an 89-55 thrashing of Colorado State in Duke’s home opener. The Blue Devils never trailed and the game was tied only once, at 2-2.
There was some thought that Duke might be vulnerable to a letdown after Tuesday’s high-profile win over Kansas. Senior co-captain Javin DeLaurier says the coaches trusted its veterans to get a handle on that.
“We’ve seen that before in the past so obviously . . . that was a big point of emphasis for us going through practice, not to take this Colorado State team lightly.
