The Blue Devils spent the week working on fundamentals and after the Indiana game, even with that game being a blowout there were clear signs that Duke needed that work. Stetson would provide Duke the opportunity to right the ship.
Obviously Duke wasn’t expecting to struggle with the 1-7 Hatters but the 6-1 Blue Devils needed to get back to the basics on both defense and offense. Duke did that against the Hatters, Duke played the game and not the scoreboard. Led by freshmen R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish the Blue Devils routed Stetson to the tune of 113 to 49.
