The Duke Women’s Lacrosse team will be heading to the NCAA Final Four for the 7th time in school history after winning a tough game against 11-seed Princeton. The Blue Devils beat the Tigers 7-3 at Koskinen Stadium on Duke’s campus to earn a trip to the national semifinals and compete for the 2015 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
Despite a dominant offensive output in the quarterfinal match-up against Southern California, Duke’s defense was the key to winning this game. Both teams really struggled to score, with Duke only leading 3-1 at halftime. The #3-seeded Blue Devils were able to hold Princeton to their lowest scoring total this season led by junior goalie Kelsey Duryea with 5 saves.
