Duke Basketball: San Diego State known for toughness and fight

The San Diego State Aztec Basketball program is built on toughness, fight, and competition.

The program was built by the legendary Steve Fisher who put the Aztecs on the map by winning 386 games in San Diego since 1999.

Fischer retired from coaching two years ago but his fingerprints are still on the his then assistant from 1999, Brian Dutcher, is the head coach of the program.

The Aztecs currently sit at 2-0 on the season with wins over Arkansas Pine-Bluff and Texas Southern.

Dutcher has five players who averages double figures on his team, led by senior Devin Watson who averages 17.
