Duke Basketball Player Preview: Grayson Allen

Last Season

For much of the year, Grayson Allen was the forgotten man in Duke’s incredible 2014 recruiting class. He struggled to earn playing time and didn’t start to show flashes of his potential until the second half of the season.

Basically, Allen progressed like most good freshmen do. He just happened to be part of a class with three of the best freshman players in Duke history – Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow and Tyus Jones.

However, it was Allen who stepped up in the 2nd half of the national championship game against Wisconsin and provided the team with a spark that helped propel the Blue Devils to a title.
