In their first match-up since winning the 2015 2K Classic in Madison Square Garden, 6th ranked Duke overcame a slow start in the first half to eventually pull away from Ivy League foe Yale in an 80-61 win.
The Blue Devils struggled at the beginning of the game, trailing for most of the first half and going into the break with only a 2 points 38-36 lead. After the break though, Duke took over going on a scoring run and never looked back outscoring the Bulldogs 42 to 25 in the second. Junior wing Matt Jones led the Blue Devils with 17 points and has been the most consistent Blue Devil so far this season and the only player to score in double figures in every game.
