While Briarcrest Christian (Tenn.) point guard Kennedy Chandler is in the process of scheduling and taking unofficial visits, some Duke basketball coaches are planning a trip to check out — and possibly offer — the 6-foot-1, 165-pound four-star.
Per a tweet this week from The Athletic’s John Martin, Chandler’s dad said the Blue Devils intend to stop by his son’s high school on Sept. 11; Martin added, “Offer likely coming.”
Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski may be envisioning Chandler as the potential backup to 2020 Duke basketball commit Jeremy Roach — unless, of course, Roach decides to leave for the NBA after one season, in which case, Chandler would have a shot to start from Day One in Durham.
