RALEIGH, N.C. -- The North Carolina General Assembly honored the Duke men’s basketball team and coaching staff Wednesday afternoon in Raleigh, N.C. While seated in the Senate Chamber of the Legislative Building, members of the legislature passed Senate Joint Resolution 714 to recognize the efforts of the team during the 2014-15 season and its national championship run.
Throughout the session, members of the legislature spoke and shared anecdotes as the Duke coaching staff, comprised of head coach Mike Krzyzewski, associate head coach Jeff Capel and assistant head coaches Nate James and Jon Scheyer, listened intently.
