After recently announcing a non-conference matchup against former NCAA Tournament rival UNLV in Las Vegas this upcoming December, Duke Basketball has another update to their schedule next season as they will headline the 2016 Hall of Fame Classic.
Duke is expected to be one of the top teams in the nation next season, and will kick-off the 2016 Hall of Fame Tip Off Classic against Penn State. The winner will advance to take on the winner of Cincinnati and Rhode Island. Duke and Penn State haven’t played in over 40 years before Coach K began at Duke, and even though the Nittany Lions struggled last season this game will be a good early test for a young team against a Big Ten foe.
