In the first of four consecutive games against ranked opponents, Duke held off the 13th ranked Cardinals to earn its best win of the season.
It was a balanced effort as Grayson Allen scored a game high 19 points, but 16 of those came in the first half and he struggled with Louisville’s length in the second half. However, freshman Brandon Ingram stepped up down the stretch and put the team on his back, scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Luke Kennard made some big shots off the bench to score 11 points and Marshall Plumlee had another strong night with 10 points and 8 rebounds.
