For those who haven’t been counting down the days ever since the season-ending loss to Michigan State, the next official Duke basketball game tips off in 86 days (against Kansas at the Champions Classic on Nov. 5). And 239 days remain until what the 2019-20 Blue Devils hope to be the final game — and win — of their season (in Atlanta on April 6).
At this time a year ago, last season’s Duke basketball team was in Canada for a three-game exhibition tour. Unfortunately, there’s no sneak preview of Mike Krzyzewski’s 40th edition of Blue Devils. Therefore, with the same number of scholarship freshmen as last year — and considering the three who left accounted for two-thirds of the points last season — these next 85 days will include loads of guesses as to what this latest squad will look like.
