Former Duke baseball star Marcus Stroman reached a personal milestone in his MLB career.
The downward spiral continues for the New York Mets but that was briefly put on hold thanks to former Duke baseball standout Marcus Stroman (9-12).
After the Mets won only two games in its 15 game stretch against the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants, New York is hosting the lowly Washington Nationals and dropped the opening game of the series on Friday night.
However, the former Blue Devil had the ball on Saturday night and he got off to an inauspicious start after allowing two runs in the second inning on a RBI double from Lane Thomas and RBI single from Alcides Escobar.
