Duke athletes are accustomed to breaking records on the field, but they have now broken a record off the field with 493 athletes selected to the ACC Honor Roll list.
In order to be selected as an ACC Honor Roll recipient, the athlete must be on a varsity level athletic team and maintain a 3.0 Grade Point Average for the entire 2017-18 school year.
Duke has held the top spot for the most selections to the ACC Honor Roll for the past 30 out of 31 seasons.
The Blue Devils had five athletes who were selected to the ACC Honor Roll for the fifth time; Malinda Allen (Women’s Soccer), Gabe Brander (Football), Danny Fowler (Men’s Lacrosse), Rebecca Greenwell (Women’s Basketball), and Alec Kunzweiler (Cross Country, Track and Field).
