DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke men’s soccer team will kick off an exciting spring slate this weekend when it travels to Charlotte to take on the United Soccer League’s Charlotte Independence. The Blue Devils and Independence are scheduled to play at 7 p.m.
The first match Saturday opens a six-game spring schedule that features two home games and matchups against ACC foes North Carolina, Wake Forest and Clemson. In addition, Duke will host Vaughn SC, a youth academy team out of Maple, Ontario.
The Blue Devils return a wealth of talent both offensively and defensively. Duke’s top seven scorers from the 2018 campaign are back, including All-America second team pick Daniele Proch and ACC Rookie of the Year Issa Rayyan.
