DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Athletics is proud to announce the naming of the Greg Dale Leadership Program (GDLP) in 2023-24.
The GDLP was named in honor of the late Dr. Greg Dale who served Duke Athletics as its first Sports Psychologist and as a Professor of Sports Psychology and Sports Ethics. Originally, the Duke Athletics Leadership Program was created in 2006 as a first of its kind in college athletics by Dale and Professor Scott Yakola with the mission to proactively develop and enhance the leadership skills of Duke student-athletes, coaches and athletic department administrators.
