EUGENE, Ore. – At the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship media day Monday, the Golf Channel announced Duke alumna Amanda Blumenherst will join its broadcast team for the upcoming 2016 NCAA Championship that will be take place May 20-25 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.
One of the most decorated women’s collegiate athletes in history, Blumenherst was a three-time National Player of the Year (2006-08) and four-time NCAA All-America (2006-09), she led the Blue Devils to three ACC championships and two NCAA Team Championships. In 2008, Blumenherst also captured the U.S. Women’s Amateur championship at Eugene Country Club, defeating Azahara Munoz – then the reigning NCAA Division I individual champion – 2 and 1 in the championship match.
